Create your account

This guide takes you through registration screen by screen, with an example. It takes about 3 minutes.

Example used below: mobile 98765 43210, name Ramesh Kumar, password Saathi@2026. Use your own details.

Before you start

You need	Why

If someone shared a referral link with you, open that link first. The referral code is filled in for you.

Step 1: Enter your mobile number

1. Open the app, or the website, and tap Sign Up (or Register).
2. In Email or Phone Number, type your 10-digit mobile number. Example: 9876543210. Do not type 0 or +91 in front; the country code is already +91.
3. Tap the box "I agree to accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Services". The tick is required.
4. Tap CONTINUE.

What can go wrong

• "Enter a valid 10-digit mobile number": you typed fewer or more digits. Re-check.
• "Please accept the Terms of Service to continue": tick the box.
• Already registered: if the number already has an account, the app shows this screen and takes you to Log in.
• Registering with an email: you may type your email instead. The app then asks for your mobile number as well, because the OTP always goes to a mobile number.

Step 2: Get and enter the OTP

After CONTINUE you see "Verify your number" and the message "OTP sent to your WhatsApp!".

1. Open WhatsApp on that number. A message from Online Saathi has a 6-digit code.
2. Come back to the app and type the 6 digits. Example: 4 8 2 9 1 5.
3. Tap VERIFY.

How the OTP is sent

• The OTP goes to WhatsApp first. If WhatsApp cannot deliver it, it is sent by SMS instead (the message then says "OTP sent to your mobile!").
• The OTP is valid for 10 minutes.
• You have 3 tries. After 3 wrong codes the OTP is cancelled and you must ask for a new one.
• Once the OTP is verified you have 10 more minutes to finish the registration. If you take longer, start again from Step 1.

If the OTP does not arrive

1. Wait for the counter "Resend OTP in 30s" to finish. You cannot resend before that.
2. Tap Resend OTP. A fresh code is sent (and the old one stops working).
3. Still nothing? Tap "Don't have WhatsApp? Send via SMS instead" to get the code by SMS.
4. Wrong number? Tap Change next to your number and enter the right one.

Messages you may see

Step 3: Create your password

1. In Create Password, type a strong password. Example: Saathi@2026.
2. In Confirm Password, type the same password again.
3. Tap the eye icon to see what you typed.
4. Watch the Password Strength list; every line must turn green:
   • at least 8 characters
   • one upper case letter (A-Z)
   • one lower case letter (a-z)
   • one number (0-9)
   • one special character (! @ # $ ...)
5. Tap NEXT.

Good to know

• "Passwords do not match": the two boxes are different. Retype both.
• Use a password you will remember and never share it. Online Saathi staff never ask for your password or OTP.

Step 4: Complete your profile

Your address is not typed by you. The app reads it from your live location and fills country, state, city and PIN code by itself. This is why location must be ON.

Step 5: Allow your location

At the bottom you see a green line "Location captured: New Delhi, Delhi, India." This means everything is fine.

If you instead see "Location access is required to register. Allow location" and the CREATE ACCOUNT button is grey:

1. Turn Location (GPS) ON in your phone's quick settings.
2. Tap Allow location in the app and choose Allow (or While using the app) in the permission box.
3. If you pressed Don't allow earlier: open the phone Settings → Apps → Online Saathi → Permissions → Location → Allow. On a computer click the lock icon next to the address bar and set Location to Allow, then reload.
4. Wait a few seconds for the green line. The button turns blue.

Step 6: Create the account

1. Check the details once more, then tap CREATE ACCOUNT.
2. You land in your dashboard. A basic account is ready; you can add money, pay bills and book tickets.
3. In some brands the registration needs an approval. The app then says "Registration submitted! Awaiting approval.", and you can log in once approved.

Already registered

If the number already has an account you see "Welcome Back" with your number filled in. Type your password and tap LOG IN, or use Sign in with Face / Fingerprint. Forgot it? Tap Forgot Password?: see Log in.

Common problems

Problem	Fix

Number belongs to someone else	Use your own number; one number = one account
