Payment methods
Paying into your wallet
| Method | What it is | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| UPI | Pay by scanning the QR or tapping your UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) | Quick, small and medium amounts |
| IMPS | Instant bank transfer, works 24 × 7 | Instant top-up of any amount your bank allows |
| NEFT | Bank transfer processed in batches | Normal transfers, may take a while to reach |
| RTGS | Real-time transfer for large amounts (banks set a minimum, usually ₹2 lakh) | Large top-ups |
Your bank sets the daily limits and charges for each method. Whichever you use, pick the same one in the Paid via field of the top-up form.
UPI QR
On a phone, the bank account card shows buttons for Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm. Tap one and the app opens with the account and amount filled in. On a computer, scan the QR from your phone. In your UPI app, check the name shown before you pay.
Some bank accounts are shown without a QR; for those, pay by NEFT, RTGS or IMPS using the account number and IFSC.
Paying for services
- Wallet: bill payments, remittance and bookings are paid from your wallet balance.
- Payment gateway: fees such as membership are paid through the payment screen (UPI, card or net banking).
If a payment is slow or fails
Your money is only held while a payment is in progress. If the provider says it failed, the hold is released and the full amount is available again. If the provider is slow to answer, the hold stays until it is confirmed either way. You never lose money to a failed payment; if something looks wrong, raise a support ticket.
